in the beginning

I tried to teach myself to crochet when I was in high school, but that hobby went the same way as jazz dance and paganism. After a dabble, I stopped caring. I've decided to try again to teach myself how to make things from yarn. I'm excited by it's sculptural possibilities and I figure that when I have my hands full of soft, soft yarn I won't be eating all the cheese in my fridge.

Oh how I love the internet! The endless, swirling, murky swamp of information! For one with the will to slog through it great treasures await. I think I could find hundreds, if not billions of free crochet patterns within its sinister depths.

And the blogs! I've spent every night these past few months admiring yarn porn on blogger, craftzine, whipup and the like, so I'm making my own blog. All I want out of it is a place where I can have a little journal, document my crafty progress and have links to my favorite blogs close at hand.

So, here is my blog (yet another hungry, evil creature in this internet swamp.) Perhaps it will amuse, as well as archive.
